TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms for using Mwenendo
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms apply when you read Mwenendo journalism on mwenendo.news, receive our alerts, or use the Mwenendo news connector inside ChatGPT or another assistant. Mwenendo is published by Mwenendo Media. By using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Mwenendo is an independent Kenya and Africa business news publication covering African business, markets, the economy, entrepreneurs and billionaires. Reading the site is free and does not require an account.
2. Information only, not financial advice
Our journalism, Data Focus figures and market information are provided for general information. Nothing we publish is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Market prices shown on the site come from a third-party widget and may be delayed. Check important facts with the original source and take professional advice before making decisions.
3. Accuracy and corrections
We work to the standards in our Editorial Policy and correct errors promptly. We cannot guarantee that every item is complete, current or free of error, and we may update or remove content at any time.
4. Copyright and reuse
Articles, headlines, graphics, cards and the Mwenendo name and logo belong to Mwenendo Media or its licensors. You may read and share links to our stories and quote short extracts with clear credit and a link to the original article. Republishing full articles, systematic copying or scraping, or using our content to train commercial AI models requires our written permission.
5. Mwenendo in ChatGPT and other assistants
- The connector at
https://mwenendo.news/mcp-publicis free, needs no sign-in and is read-only. It only returns journalism Mwenendo has already published. - Assistants using it should credit Mwenendo and link readers to the full story on mwenendo.news.
- Summaries written by an assistant are produced by that assistant, not by Mwenendo. Always read the original article for the full, verified reporting.
- We apply fair-use request limits and may restrict access that overloads or abuses the service.
- Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's own terms and policies.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, the connector or our systems, or use the service for anything unlawful.
7. Links to other sites
Our stories link to primary sources and other websites. We are not responsible for the content or policies of those sites.
8. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Mwenendo Media is not liable for losses arising from reliance on our content or from the service being unavailable.
9. Privacy
How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We may update them and will revise the date at the top when we do.
11. Contact us
